With the re-opening of the newly refurbished Huntsman Bar and the expansion of our food and beverage offering, we are recruiting additional Cocktail Bartenders to join Pale's restaurant team. We're looking for people with style and flair to create the perfect cocktail, and to prepare drinks swiftly with a little bit of theatre!
A good knowledge of cocktails, spirits and wines is a must, with ideally around a year's experience behind a bar in a high calibre establishment. You'll be confident in engaging with our guests, and able to make recommendations and maximise upselling opportunities. Impeccable personal presentation is absolutely essential.
With significant plans for expansion and new outlets throughout the estate, there are opportunities for the right people to grow and develop with us.
This is a full time permanent position, 40 hours per week, five days over seven. Pale Hall offers a supportive and rewarding working environment in delightful rural surroundings, where everyone is helped and encouraged to reach their full potential within a kind and friendly team.
Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK, and be confident that they can commute to the hotel within the shift patterns and requirements of the role.
To be fully conversant with the drinks/cocktail menu, and the preparation and presentation of each individual item.
To prepare and serve alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages to order, swiftly and with style and charisma.
To be creative with fresh ideas and suggestions.
To ensure that the bar is clean and fully stocked ahead of service, including the associated ingredients such as fruit, condiments, ice and dried accompaniments.
To suggest new products as appropriate to compliment the beverage offering, retain customer interest and maximise sales opportunities and revenue generation.
To assist in the training of colleagues through coaching and sharing of skills.
To interact with guests in a professional, friendly and confident manner.
To communicate and liaise with other departments as required, particularly Reception and Kitchen, to ensure that information is shared, correct procedures are followed and guest expectations are met.
To build a rapport with guests in order to maximise sales opportunities and generate future business.
A sound knowledge of alcoholic beverages and the creation of cocktails.
At least one year's experience behind the bar in a quality establishment is desirable.

Full time permanent contract at £26,000.00 per annum.
