OUR “AROMATICA SPA”

The main building at Borgo Pignano Florence hosts a luxurious Spa called Aromatica Spa with a state-of-the-art gym with Technogym machines, two treatment rooms, a sauna, Turkish bath, sensory shower, and ice fountain, offering a complete wellness experience for guests. 

The Aromatica spa’s serene setting, immersed in the beauty of the northern Florence hills, will provide the perfect escape for guests to unwind, recharge, and find a deep sense of rejuvenation.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION

The  spa therapist provides health and wellness services, such as massages, facials, and waxing, to clients while maintaining a clean and relaxing environment. Responsibilities include client consultations to understand their needs, performing various treatments, and recommending spa products. Therapists must also uphold strict hygiene and safety standards, manage client records, and stay updated on spa industry trends and techniques. 

Reports to: SPA Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet clients warmly, consult with them to understand their specific needs and preferences, explain treatments, and recommend suitable services and products. 
  • Administer various spa treatments, including massages (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue), facials, body therapies, manicures, and pedicures, while ensuring client comfort and satisfaction. 
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene by sanitizing equipment, sterilizing instruments, and keeping treatment rooms clean, stocked, and prepared for clients. 
  • Document client information, treatment details, and any important notes for future services to ensure personalized and accurate care.
  • Promote and sell spa products and additional services to clients, providing information on their benefits. 
  • Stay current with the latest industry trends, new techniques, and products to enhance skills and service quality. 
  • Work with other spa staff to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive, holistic client experience. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the same role preferably in 5 star hotels or luxurious venues.
  • A professional qualification and license in massage therapy, cosmetology, or aesthetics is  required. 
  • Proficiency in various massage techniques (i.e. Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone) and skincare treatments. 
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. 
  • Meticulous attention to hygiene, safety protocols, and record-keeping. 
  • Thorough knowledge of the spa's products and services to advise clients effectively.
