Quercus is a luxury destination hotel and culinary experience set on 4,000 acres in Gay, Georgia. As the only Relais & Châteaux property in the state, Quercus offers an intimate, all-inclusive stay centered on exceptional service, nature, seasonal cuisine, and a deep sense of place.

The property features just four private cabins, allowing for a highly personalized guest experience that blends refined hospitality with curated outdoor activities, wellness offerings, and thoughtful hotel service. At the heart of the property is Uberto, Quercus’s restaurant where guests enjoy an elevated tasting menu experience led by Michelin starred chef Ryan Smith.

Uberto’s service style is warm, polished, and detail-oriented, designed to complement a dynamic culinary program rooted in seasonality, craft, and storytelling. Team members in the restaurant play an important role not only in the dining experience, but also in the broader hospitality operations of the property, helping create seamless and memorable stays for each guest.

Uberto Restaurant at Quercus is seeking a dedicated Server and/ or Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional service to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency. You will be the face of our restaurant, creating memorable dining experiences through attentive service, product knowledge, and genuine hospitality.

  • Welcome guests warmly and guide them through the Uberto dining experience with professionalism, care, and attention to detail
  • Seat guests in accordance with restaurant procedures, pacing needs, and the intimate nature of the tasting menu service
  • Present and explain the tasting menu experience, including progression, ingredients, preparation details, and the story behind each course as appropriate
  • Provide knowledgeable guidance on beverage offerings, including cocktails, wines, wine pairings, spirits, non-alcoholic offerings, and other curated selections
  • Accurately record beverage selections, preferences, guest notes, allergies, and dietary restrictions to be noted in daily shift notes and communicate relevant information to kitchen, service, and management staff
  • Deliver food and beverages with polished, timely, and professional service, ensuring presentation, pacing, and guest experience meet Uberto and Quercus standards
  • Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, beers, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, techniques, and service standards
  • Monitor guest needs throughout the experience, anticipating requests and providing attentive service without being intrusive
  • Assist with hotel-related food and beverage service operations as needed, including cabin service, special requests, and curated hospitality moments
  • Handle cash, card payments, room charges, and other payment methods accurately while following security and accounting procedures
  • Clear, mark, and reset tables efficiently between courses and seatings, maintaining cleanliness, organization, and readiness throughout the dining room and service areas
  • Respond to guest inquiries, preferences, and concerns with empathy and professionalism, resolving issues promptly or escalating as needed
  • Maintain strong knowledge of current menu items, beverage offerings, ingredients, pairings, allergens, and seasonal changes
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned, including station preparation, polishing glassware and silverware, inventory checks, restocking, cleaning, and service setup

  • Proven experience as a server and/or bartender in a refined dining environment
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and food pairings
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays, and move throughout the restaurant
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Preferred: Experience in fine dining and/or tasting menu establishments
  • Preferred: CMS Level 2 Wine Certification (or higher)
