The Host plays an essential role in creating a warm, polished, and welcoming experience for every guest at Twin Farms. As both the first and final point of contact in the Main House, the Host sets the tone for the dining experience and helps ensure that service flows smoothly from arrival through departure.

This position requires genuine warmth, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain composed while managing multiple priorities. The Host should be highly familiar with the property, daily activities, weather, dining offerings, and other aspects of the guest experience so they can confidently assist guests and anticipate their needs.

The energy, presence, and professionalism brought to this role are key to creating the thoughtful and personalized service for which Twin Farms is known.

Essential Functions

Guest Welcome and Seating

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and create an immediate sense of welcome.
  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus appropriate to the service period.
  • Recognize returning guests and acknowledge special occasions, preferences, or requests whenever possible.

Reservation Management

  • Manage reservations accurately through the booking system.
  • Maintain organized seating plans and support the timely flow of service.
  • Communicate reservation updates, special requests, and guest preferences to the appropriate team members.

Guest Communication

  • Serve as a central point of communication between guests and the dining, culinary, Guest Experience, and other operational teams.
  • Answer questions about menus, property activities, weather, and daily offerings.
  • Provide thoughtful recommendations and respond to concerns with care, professionalism, and discretion.

Waitlist and Service Flow

  • Manage the waitlist during busy service periods.
  • Provide guests with accurate wait-time estimates and keep them informed of any changes.
  • Coordinate closely with servers and dining leadership to support smooth table transitions and balanced seating.

Service Coordination

  • Communicate allergies, dietary needs, celebrations, preferences, and other guest requests to the appropriate team members.
  • Assist the service team as needed to maintain an effortless and seamless guest experience.
  • Anticipate potential service challenges and communicate them promptly.

Main House Presentation

  • Maintain a clean, polished, and organized host stand and Main House Commons.
  • Ensure menus and other guest-facing materials are clean, current, and properly presented.
  • Monitor the appearance and atmosphere of guest areas and address concerns promptly.

  • Warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing personalized, intuitive, and gracious service.
  • Previous hospitality, restaurant, or luxury-service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
